Discussions (Largely my perspective(s) on any topic(s) being discussed in this course)

09/15: This is an article about why benzil has a light yellow colour.  http://www.chem.latech.edu/~upali/chem254/BENZIL.pdf

My only problem with the article is, it says that the conjugation involves all 14 atoms. I don't see how the other benzene ring is involved in the conjugation at the same time. If it did, the colour would have been more intense.

09/20: This article is about the mechanism of Benzilic acid rearrangement:

09/21: Although the Click Chemistry is widely used, these are just two examples of its applications:

10/04: An interesting article about IR stretch of OH  http://www.che.hw.ac.uk/teaching/cheak2/B18OA1/Webtest/Alcohol.html

10/10: Important resource about polymer molecular weights: http://gozips.uakron.edu/~wwschlo/POLYFiles/POLY102.pdf
