ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Announcement 1: Classes resume for the session 2016-2017 on August 6th, Saturday. The first Chemistry lecture will be on Monday,  August 8th, 2016, 2:45pm onwards as  I will be out-of-station on the 6th. 

​

Announcement 2: We will read this paper in class on Monday, August 8th and bring out the important points related to s-block elements. Print only the first two pages back-to-back and bring on Monday. Read it before coming to class and if you want you can underline the text. The pdf file is attached here.

Announcement 3: The class on 8th was cancelled. Instead this class will be on 13th August from 3pm.

​

Announcement 4: The classes after 10th September will again resume on October 1st, 2016 owing to exams.

27/08/16: p-block Chemistry continued (Groups 15, 16, 17 and 18). Assignment attached: 

03/09/16: Introduced Hydrocarbons (Conformations of simple hydrocarbons and Alkanes)

10/09/16: Alkenes and their Chemistry. Assignment

07/10/16: Alkynes, Aromaticity, Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution Reactions. Class assignment done.

15/10/16: Chemical  Equilibrium Introduced

22/10/16: Le Chatelier's Principle and its applications.
